Best Practices for All Submissions

PHOTOS

  • Photos should be high resolution (at least 1500 px), RAW or PNG preferred – please no images copied from the web

  • Do not put college logos on photos

  • For alumni and students, photos depicting awardees in attire and/or in settings reflecting their careers are preferred

  • Email photos to ksmith@arkansascc.org

BIOS

  • Bios should be 4 to 5 sentences, approximately 100 words, and written in third person

  • Alumni and student bios should include educational and/or career details and campus and/or community service highlights

Outstanding Faculty and Staff

The purpose of these awards is to publicly recognize and promote the professional achievements and service of ACC member college faculty and staff.  

Required Information:

  • Name of college

  • Awardee name and email

  • Awardee title and years of service

  • Approved by the college’s President/Chancellor

  • High resolution, digital photo

  • 100-word bio

Awardee Recognition:

  • Awardees will be included in promotional materials and social media posts.

  • Awardees will be recognized at the ACC Outstanding Faculty & Staff Awards Ceremony and Networking Brunch on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 10 am, in Hot Springs (please note the change in schedule).

  • Awardees must register for the conference or purchase a ticket to the brunch to attend.

Outstanding Alumni

The purpose of this award is to publicly recognize and promote the professional achievements and service of ACC member alumni.

Required Information:

  • Name of college

  • Awardee name

  • Awardee degree earned and graduation year

  • Awardee employer and title

  • Approved by the college’s President/Chancellor

  • High resolution, digital photo

  • 100-word bio

Awardee Recognition:

  • Awardees will be included in promotional materials and social media posts.

  • Awardees will NOT be recognized at the conference. Colleges are encouraged to recognize alumni locally.

SUBMIT ALUMNUS

Academic All-Star

The purpose of this awards is to publicly recognize and promote the scholarly and service achievements of ACC member students.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a public community college and expected to continue enrollment through at least Fall 2024

  • Completed a minimum of 24 credit hours towards an associate degree by June 1, 2024

  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 

  • Demonstrated involvement in campus and/or community activities

  • Intent to graduate from the nominating college with an associate degree by Summer 2025

Required Information:

  • Name of college

  • Student name, mailing address, phone number, and email

  • What degree will the student earn?

  • What are the student’s future education and/or career plans?

  • Statement that the awardee meets all the eligibility requirements.

  • Approved by the college’s President/Chancellor

  • High resolution, digital photo

  • 100-word bio

Awardee Recognition:

  • Awardees will be included in awardee promotional materials and social media posts.

  • Awardees will be recognized at the ACC Academic All-Star Awards Ceremony & Networking Lunch on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 12 pm, in Hot Springs (please note the change in schedule). 

  • The awardee will receive one complimentary awards lunch ticket. This does not include conference registration.  The student does NOT need to register. 

  • The nominating college will provide the awardee with a $500 scholarship for their final semester.
