CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Deadline for Submission: May 1, 2024

We invite you to submit a proposal to present at the 2024 ACC Conference, where faculty, staff, and administrators from community colleges across the state will explore innovative ideas and share insights. Join us in shaping the future of higher education.

Why Present at ACC 2024?

  • Showcase your expertise to a diverse audience.

  • Gain experience speaking in a comfortable setting and build your resume.

  • Network with professionals in your field.

  • Contribute to the advancement of education and professional development.

Submission Details:

  • Submit by May 1, 2024.

  • Breakout sessions will be held Monday, October 14, from 10am-4pm, and Tuesday, October 15, from 9-10am. Sessions will be 45-minutes each.

  • You will be notified if your proposal has been selected by July 1, 2024.

  • Corporate entities are only eligible to present as part of a sponsor package.

  • Presenters must submit their slides by September 16, 2024, utilizing a provided template.

  • Presenters will be notified of their presentation date/time by September 27, 2024.

  • Presenters must register and pay to attend at the regular rate by September 30, 2024.

Focus Areas:

  • Emerging Leaders (e.g., managing people, paths to leadership, effective leadership)

  • CTE & Workforce (e.g., apprenticeships, K-12 partnerships, data and tracking)

  • Special Interest (e.g., strategic planning, HLC accreditation, crisis management)

  • Student Services (e.g., grant success stories, athletics best practices, removing barriers)

  • Support Staff (e.g., difficult conversations, Microsoft tips/tricks, stress management)

  • Teaching & Learning (e.g., artificial intelligence, classroom management, online learning)

Tips for a Successful Submission:

  • Think of the audience. Our conference attracts attendees from all community college disciplines and departments. Your proposal is more likely to be accepted if it has broad appeal and application.

  • Get creative. Your session title should grab an attendee’s attention. Get creative and have fun with the 7-word limit.

  • Get specific. Your session description should clearly tell your audience what they can expect and what they will gain from attending the session in fewer than 100 words.
